Cbus appoints first deputy CIO
Brett Chatfield has been appointed to the newly-created role of deputy chief investment officer at industry super fund Cbus. Chatfield is already on the executive team as the head of public markets, and will now be supporting CIO Kristian Fok.

CBA executive team movements
The Commonwealth Bank (CBA) has seen some changes to its executive leadership team with the retirement of Anna Lenahan, who has been group general counsel and group executive of group corporate affairs. The role will now be separated into group general counsel and governance, and a new role of group executive of marketing and corporate affairs. Priscilla Sims Brown has been appointed to the role of group executive of marketing and corporate affairs from August.

Aberdeen hires head of Australian equities, head of retirement
Michelle Lopez has been promoted to head of Australian equities, a bump up from her role as deputy head, taking over from Robert Penaloza. Lopez has been with the company since 2004 as an investment specialist. Jason Nyilas is the latest hire at Aberdeen Standard Investments, coming in as head of retirement and product strategy. Nyilas moves to Aberdeen from being a partner at Ernst and Young.

IOOF Holdings hires CEO, director
Renato Mota has been interim CEO at IOOF since December 2018, appointed after former CEO Chris Kelaher stepped down post-Royal Commission. Mota has been with IOOF for 15 years. Andrew Bloore has been appointed to the board as an independent non-executive director.

Australian Ethical CEO and MD stepping down
Phil Vernon is leaving the Australian Ethical board as managing director and CEO after nine years. Steve Gibbs will act in the CEO role after Vernon leaves in August.
