BTFG appoints new CEO

Matthew Rady is the new chief executive at BT Financial Group, moving into the newly-created role from Allianz. BT Platforms, BT’s Personal and Corporate Super, and Investments will be combined to form the one BT Financial Group business.

Zenith appoints ESG head

Dugald Higgins is the new head of responsible investments and real assets at Zenith Investment Partners. Higgins moves into the role from another internal role as head of real assets and listed strategies.

Aviva welcomes head of credit

Caroline Hedges is the new head of credit at Aviva Investors, the global asset management business of Aviva Plc. Colin Purdie was promoted to chief investment officer of liquid markets, leaving the role open for Hedges. Hedges moves into the role from portfolio manager at Aviva.

Crawford & Co vice president wins Woman of the Year at business awards

Crawford & Company’s vice president of Latin America, Marie Velez, has won Woman of the Year at the Stevie International Business Awards. The 2021 International Business Awards saw entries from 63 countries and territories.

 Future Fund appoints chief people and culture officer

Kimberley Reid is the new chief people and culture officer at Future Fund, after acting in the role for an interim period.

EISS appoints chair, loses CEO

Peter Tighe is the new chair of EISS Super after Warren Mundy left, and chief executive Alex Hutchison resigned. Tighe is the chair of the Asbestos Diseases Research Foundation. The new board includes Yasemin Onat, Matthew McCann and Guy Chalkley.

Frontier Advisors appoints director

Fiona Reynolds is now an independent director at Frontier Advisors, leaving the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) and returning to Australia in 2022. Reynolds will also become CEO of Conexus Financial.

Mercer loses head of superannuation

Jo-Anne Bloch has left Mercer Australia as head of superannuation to become a full-time board member. Bloch has been with Mercer for the past 11 years. The first boards to welcome Bloch include Colonial First State and Avanteos Investments Limited.

Vanguard appoints MD

Daniel Shrimski a new managing director at Vanguard Australia, returning from the United States. Current MD Frank Kolimago is moving to the US to take on the role of global head of talent management. Shrimski has been with Vanguard in the US since 2011.

VFMC appoints new CEO

Kate Galvin is the new CEO at Victorian Funds Management Corporation (VFMC), moving into the role to replace retiring CEO Lisa Gray from NAB.
