During 2025 New Zealand Retail Funds Increased by NZ$37.9bn

New Zealand Retail Managed Funds rose 3.7% in the December quarter while over the whole of 2025 they were up 16.8% to total NZ$263.5bn with over half this growth due to higher investment market values. Companies seeing the biggest jumps in funds under management included market leaders Milford (35.6%), ASB (14.1%) and BT / Westpac (8.3%) along with NZX/Smartshares (12.0%), AMP (9.3%), FirstCape (12.3%), FundRock (53.2%) and Simplicity (23.9%); indeed Retail Funds for all the leading players finished higher.

Year on year Gross Inflows in 2025 were 19.8% higher to total NZ$59.5bn after increasing by 5.3% in the December quarter. Market leader Milford (70.4%), FundRock (50.2%), Kernel (71.4%), Simplicity (22.4%), NZX/Smartshares (24.5%) and Generate (45.6%) all reported very significant jumps in their annual Inflows.
