European Monthly Insight March 2023 Highlights

European assets under management (AUM) fell by 0.3% for the second consequent month in March 2023 and ended at €11.8 trillion. In the last six months however, AUM has increased by 2.5%.

After two straight months in the black, Active fund sales turned negative in March. While positive, estimated net sales of ETF and passive funds could not overcome the outflows from Active funds.

Equity strategies were dominant among the best-sellers across major European markets. Emerging Market equity themed funds recorded highest inflows in Ireland while UK and Switzerland saw equity North America rank first.
