Ord Minnet appoints head of private wealth

Frank Hegerty is the new head of private wealth at Ord Minnett, promoted into the role from state manager of Victoria and South Australia for the company. Hegerty will remain Victoria’s state manager.

Lonsec welcomes executive director of adviser sales and service

Marc Hraiki, moving across from Franklin Templeton, is the executive director of adviser sales and service at Lonsec in the newly-created role.

Janus Henderson farewells long-term macroeconomics strategist, welcomes replacement

The Australian fixed interest team at Janus Henderson welcomes Emma Lawson as the macroeconomics strategist, replacing Frank Uhlenbruch. Uhlenbruch is retiring from the industry after almost 40 years, including 28 at Janus Henderson. Lawson moves into the role from Treasury Corporation of Victoria.

Morgan Stanley farewells co-head of investment management services

Nathan Lim has left Morgan Stanley Private Wealth after seven years at the company. Lim isn’t in another role yet, but it hunting down a responsible investing position.

BetaShares welcomes two new state managers

John Bezich is the new state manager for Western Australia at BetaShares, while Blair Modica has been promoted to state manager for Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania.

Citi appoints new CEO

Mark Woodruff is the new chief executive of Australia at Citibank after Marc Luet moved to head Japan. Woodruff is a long-time Citi executive, with his tenure at the bank spanning 20 years, most recently as acting head of Australia and New Zealand.

JANA re-appoints senior consultant

Stephen Hodges has returned to JANA as a senior consultant, after working at Invesco in New York for four years. In Hodges’ previous stint at JANA, he was an investment consultant.

Future Fund executive shuffle

Jennifer Dean, the executive general manager of strategic partnerships, has announced her decision to leave Future Fund after 26 years with Future Super and Aon.

Ben Griffiths is Future Fund’s new director of the equities arm, moving into the role from TCorp in a similar position. TCorp is seeking a replacement.

David Bluff is the new head of private equity, moving into the role from Carlyle as head of Australia.

Spirit Super loses director after 12 years

Sue Dahn is leaving Spirit Super after 12 years as a director on the board. Dahn sits on the boards of Breakthrough Victoria and Victorian Traditional Owners Funds, and is an investment adviser partner and executive director at Pitcher Partners for over two decades.

Global X appoints ETF portfolio manager

Jessica Leung is the newest addition to the investment team at Global X, being the Global X exchange-traded funds (ETF) portfolio manager. Leung moves into the role from BetaShares as assistant portfolio manager.

Iress restructure

After a strategic review, Iress has undergone a restructuring and has new senior leadership. Iress is introducing four key business lines with each having its own chief executive. Ten per cent of staff will be laid off, and MFA and platform business are being divested.

New appointments include:
