Asian Monthly Insight - May 2022 Highlights

Asian assets under management (AUM) rose to US$4.8 trillion, an increase of US$48.5 billion from the previous month; regional assets under management have fallen by 11.6% in the last six months.

Net sales were US$13.0 billion, down from inflows of US$24.4 billion in the previous month.

Equity funds saw the highest monthly inflow, with net sales of US$14.3 billion. The second best-selling asset class was bond funds with net inflows of US$4.8 billion.

Active funds tallied net sales of US$3.9 billion; passive funds and ETFs saw net inflows of US$4.9 billion and US$4.3 billion, respectively.
