Companies are improving on ESG, report says

A new Fidelity report shows ESG focus amongst global companies is up eight per cent due to regulatory and investor pressure. The survey asked for responses from 161 investment analysts on sustainability issues, finding signs of progress towards net-zero. Around half of the analysts surveyed said their companies were making ESG efforts that were equal to or greater than what they were promoting.

More than ever reported linking senior manager pay to greenhouse gas emissions, up over 10 per cent on last year. About 40 per cent said executive pay is linked to employee welfare, up from 32 per cent. There are also increases in formal policies on environmental issues.
