ACSI appoints senior analysts

The Australian Council of Superannuation Investors (ACSI) has appointed Fiona Manning as a senior analyst and Hannah Armitage as research manager. Most recently Manning was a portfolio manager at AMP Capital and Apostle Funds Management. Armitage moves into the role from Lond at the Financial Reporting Council. Both have a background in ESG analysis and investment.

Credit Suisse welcomes three new executives

Sandy Isherwood is now responsible for the Australian Credit Suisse large-cap domestic funds coverage as director. Isherwood moves into the role from Goldman Sachs. Sam Speer is the new vice president head of small-caps sales, while Min Huang was promoted to head of asset management in the APAC region. Huang will also stay head of asset management for China.

Macquarie AM appoints chief sustainability officer

Kristina Kloberdanz has been appointed as chief sustainability officer at Macquarie Asset Management. Kloberdanz will lead the ESG commitments and ambitions, moving into the role from a similar role at Mastercard.

BlackRock appoints vice president and relationship manager

Rachel Friend is the new vice president and relationship manager in BlackRock’s wealth client business team, moving into the role from BT Financial Group.

Cbus welcomes head of debt

Cbus industry super has appointed head of direct debt and illiquid credit, Anne Moal, in a newly-created position. Moal moves into the role from Perpetual where she spent eight years.

AIST farewells president

Catherine Bolger is leaving the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees (AIST) when her term comes to an end. Bolger has been in the role since 2018 and has been on the AIST board since 2016. The next president has yet to be appointed.

HESTA appoints chief growth officer

Sam Harris is the new chief growth officer at HESTA, promoted from customer experience and insights leader. Harris has been at HESTA since 2015.

ICA appoints new board member

The Insurance Council of Australia (ICA) has appointed Sharon Ooi as a non-executive director. Ooi is also a member of the Australian Financial Services Council (FSC) Life Board Committee and is the managing director at Swiss Re Australia and New Zealand.

Franklin Templeton appoints APAC co-heads

Matthew Harrison and Tariq Ahmad are the new co-heads of Franklin Templeton’s APAC division. Harrison is the current managing director of Australia, while Ahmad is the current head of Asia distribution. The pair take over from head of APAC Vivek Kudva, who is retiring from the company after 16 years.

AXA IM appoints senior leaders

Antoine Mesnage is the new alternatives head of Australia from October, replacing Kumar Kalyanakumar. Chris Willey has been promoted to head of asset management and ESG, while James Cox is the new head of fund management. Both roles replace Quentin Shaw who was head of asset and funds management.
