New Appointments

IOOF announces restructure of licensees

IOOF is moving its advice licensees into two businesses, with new chief executives.

  • Helen Blackford will lead Lonsdale, Millennium3, IOOF Alliances

  • Peter Ornsby will lead RI Advice and Consultum Financial Advisers, and Financial Services partners until it closes

  • Terry Dillon will remain chief executive of Shadforth Financial Group

  • Nathan Stenton will remain CEO of Bridges

Zurich makes new appointments

  • Zurich has appointed Tina Beilby, former chief underwriting officer, to head of operations, integration

  • Joanne Faglioni, former head of claims at OnePath, is the new chief claims officer

  • Peter Tilocca, chief underwriter, has been promoted to chief underwriting officer

AMP Limited welcomes new chair

Debra Hazelton is the new chair of AMP Limited, replacing David Murray. Hazelton joined the AMP Limited board in 2019, after joining the AMP Capital board in 2018. Hazelton is also on the board at Treasury Corporation of Victoria and Persol Australia Holdings.

Departures

QBE CEO resigns after complaint

The group chief executive at QBE Insurance Group, Pat Regan, has left after three years in the job after a complaint was made by a female employee. The board concluded that Regan exercised poor judgement, and an external investigation has been launched. QBE Group chair, Mike Wilkins, will step into the role while a replacement is found.

ANZ chair retiring

David Gonski is retiring from the ANZ board at the end of October 2020. Gonski originally joined the ANZ board in 2002, leaving in 2007, then rejoining as chair in 2014. Gonski also holds board positions at Swiss Re Life, Igneus Limited, the AX, and Investec Bank. Paul O’Sullivan will replace Gonski.

Centrepoint Alliance loses investment head

Julian Pitt has left dealer group, Centrepoint Alliance, after over 13 years to set up his own advisory firm.
