Elders head resigns

IOOF-aligned dealer group, Elders Financial Planning, is saying goodbye to Tony Beaven who is returning to the United Kingdom. Millennium3 state development manager, Phil Broadbent, is stepping into the role of acting head of Elders until a permanent replacement is found.

Westpac losing CEO

Westpac’s chief executive, Brian Hartzer, is resigning after an AUSTRAC investigation alleged that the bank was in breach of money laundering law, 23 million times. Chief financial officer, Peter King, is taking over as acting CEO while a replacement is sought.

Hartzer denied accusations of being ‘indifferent’ to the breaches the claims made by AUSTRAC, but ultimately accepted that as the head of the bank, he was ultimately responsible.

OnePath wins Trailblazer award for claims technology

OnePath has taken home the Community Innovation Trailblazer Award for its group insurance claims technology at the Salesforce Dreamforce 2019 conference. The technology uses analytics and artificial intelligence for claims processing.
