Challenger appoints and loses an independent director

Duncan West is the latest independent non-executive director to be appointed to the Challenger and Challenger Life Company boards. West comes from roles as a general manager of insurance at MLC and NAB Wealth, having also sat on several insurance company boards. Graham Cubbin is not standing for re-election at the next annual general meeting after sitting on the board since 2004.

State Street appoint global markets head

The new head of global markets for the Asia-Pacific region at State Street is Michele Hardeman, moving from the United States to Hong Kong, remaining within the company.

Brad Kitschke resigned as chief executive at FinTech Australia after just four months, citing health reasons. The company is seeking a new head.

Kell resigns from ASIC

Peter Kell is leaving ASIC after many years as the deputy chair. Kell started at ASIC in 2011, and was promoted to chair in 2013. Kell’s resignation comes into effect in early December.
