NEOS appoints underwriting and sales team
The underwriting and operations team manager is Gemma Wheeler, who moves across from BT Life in a senior management role. Cara Glanville and Maria Monaghan are both senior underwriters, also from BT Life.

Charl du Plooy is new head of sales at the new insurer, formerly a TAL state sales manager. Under du Plooy as state managers are Nathan Leonard (NSW/ACT), Don Glendinning (VIC/TAS/SA), and Brett Leonard (QLD/NT). Business development managers in the team include Brett Madigan (NSW/ACT), Eugene Badenhorst (VIC/TAS/SA), and Michelle Dolan (QLD/NT).

AFA board leaders stay put
The Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) board team will remain unchanged for another two years. The top jobs on the board remain with Marc Bineham (AFA board national president), Michael Nowak (national vice president), and David Slovinec (treasurer).

FPA announces new chair, board member shuffle
The Financial Planning Association (FPA) board has appointed Marisa Broome to the chair role, replacing Neil Kendall as his term end approaches after eight years. Philip Pledge, a current director, will also be stepping down at the end of 2018 after 10 years, and Paul Ruiz is joining in his place.

Departures

Aviva CEO to leave in April
Mark Wilson, Aviva chief executive, is leaving in April 2019 upon mutual agreement after joining the company in 2013. Wilson is to be replaced in the interim with Sir Adrian Montague, while the search for a new CEO is undertaken. Sir Montague will return to his role of non-executive chair at that time.
