StatePlus appoints new CEO
StatePlus has appointed Graeme Arnott, who has been acting chief executive since June, after First State Super purchased the company. Prior to that, Arnott was First State Super's chief operating officer.

CFSGAM appoints investment team members
Colonial First State Global Asset Management (CFSGAM) has appointed two new investment team members, Asieh Mansour from Townsend Group, and Graham Dooley, a utilities veteran. 

REST appoints GM investments
Brendan Casey is the new general manager of investments at REST, moving across from Suncorp. Ronan Welsh was the outgoing GM. 

IOOF chair retires, new non-executive director appointed
Dr Roger Sexton is to retire after 15 years as a director and four years as chair at IOOF. George Venardos is to succeed Sexton. New non-executive director John Selak is now on the board.

LGIAsuper chair resigns
Bronwyn Morris, LGIAsuper's chair, is resigning from the superannuation fund after three years. Morris also serves on several boards, including Collins Food, Watpac, RACQ and CARE Australia.  

State Street head of Australia and New Zealand departs
Paul Khoury has left State Street after working at the company since 2001. 

Morgan Stanley CEO resigns, successor named
Steve Harker has resigned as chief executive of Morgan Stanley Australia, after 18 years in the role. Harker's successor is Richard Wagner, a long-standing Morgan Stanley executive currently in the role of head of investment banking.

AFA annual awards
The Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) has awarded its annual awards. Darren Johns from Align Financial has won the AFA Adviser of the Year Award, while Henderson Maxwell is the AFA Practice of the Year. Peita Diamantidis (Caboodle Financial Services) won the AFA Female Excellence in Advice Award.
