European Monthly Insight April 2022 Highlights:

The European asset management industry contracted by -€240.3 billion, or -1.9% as of April 2022, to €12.5 trillion in assets, while recording €60.6 billion in net outflows.

Bond mandates continued with its fourth consecutive month of net outflows of -€16.1 billion. Equity mandates saw their third consecutive month of net outflows of -€2.9 billion. Mixed asset remained positive, bringing in €5.4 billion while alternative mandates remained negative with -€0.9 billion in net outflows.

Considering product structures, Active funds net sales were -€33.8 billion, the third consecutive month of outflows, while passive fund net sales were €5.8 million, up €206.0 million over the month, and ETF net creations were €13.4 billion, up €9.4 billion from the previous month.
