TelstraSuper appoints new chair
HESTA’s former chief executive, Anne-Marie Corboy, is to chair TelstraSuper’s board for the coming three years. David Leggo departs at financial year end.

Catholic Super welcomes new chair
David Hutton is to take over as chair of the Australian Catholic Superannuation and Retirement Fund from mid-2019, replacing Richard Haddock. Hutton is a trustee director of the fund.

SuperConcepts restructures executive team
Chief operating officer James Fitzpatrick is leaving SuperConcepts after three years, departing in June. Two newly-created positions will take over Fitzpatrick’s role - general manager of product, risk and strategy, and general manager of growth.

After chief financial officer Adrian Urquhart left, Mark Bailey was appointed to the role. Sherry Midgley is now the general manager, while Garth Montgomery is the executive manager of communications.

JANA switches up the board
Ken Marshman is leaving JANA as chair, being replaced by Fiona Dunn. Marshman has been with JANA since 2000, first as chief executive, then as chair since 2003. Dunn has been serving the JANA board since 2017 as a non-executive director, with over three decades of experience in investment. John Coombe is re-joining the board as an executive director. Coombe was one of JANA’s first employees.

Equity Trustees appoints head of fund services
Russell Beasley has been promoted to the role of head of fund services from general manager of fund services. Beasley has been with EQT since 2005.

Citi appoints head of Australia
David Livingstone is leaving Citi for EMEA, with Marc Luet taking over as chief executive of Australia and New Zealand. Luet is currently head of Israel, Kazakhstan, Poland, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine, after originally starting at Citi almost two decades ago, leaving, and then returning.

Mercer appoints administration business head
Craig Rice is to lead Mercer’s administration business, taking over from Jo-Anne Bloch. Bloch will remain in her other role as head of industry and public sector funds, and leading the client services team. Rice moves across from MiFund, a medical loan company.

CBA board member leaving
The Commonwealth Bank (CBA) has announced changes to its board, with Sir David Higgins to retire from his role as a non-executive director at the end of 2019. Higgins has been a board member since 2014, Remuneration Committee chairperson, and a Risk Committee member.

UBS co-head of equities Aus and NZ steps down
The Australian and New Zealand co-head of equities, Chris Williams, is leaving UBS after 15 years. Steve Boxall will take over full responsibility for the role, which he has shared with Williams since 2015.

Club Plus Super loses chair to Parliament
Tara Moriarty has left Club Plus Super as chair and director for over a decade to become a member of the Legislative Council at the New South Wales state election.
