New BNP, CFS Investec funds launched

BNP has launched the EM equity fund, a global emerging-market equity fund for both institutional and retail investors in Australia. The bottom-up fund is designed to build concentrated, high-conviction portfolios, focusing on small and medium-sized companies early in their life cycles.

Colonial First State (CFS) is setting up three new funds in conjunction with Sanlam to distribute managed-risk funds across Australia. Sanlam is to set its active risk management strategy over the top of three CFS index funds to establish the new funds.

The new funds are the Sanlam Managed Risk Australian Share fund, the Sanlam Managed Risk Global Share fund, and the Sanlam Managed Risk Multi-Index High Growth fund. The strategy has been designed to minimise market decline effects using a reduction in client exposure to equities in falling markets, meanwhile participating in rising markets.

Investec Asset Management has launched a total return multi-asset strategy for Australian institutional investors. The Investec Diversified Growth (Australian) strategy is focused on dynamic allocation of a globally-diverse range of asset classes that are stacked together into three behavioural categories: growth, defensive and uncorrelated, which includes equities, fixed income, currencies, commodities, infrastructure and alternative assets.
