LGS appoints female chair
Sydney-based Local Government Super (LGS) has named Katherine O'Regan as its first female chair, succeeding Craig Peate who will continue as deputy chair and director. O'Regan retains her position as councillor of Sydney's Woollahra Municipal Council.

Mercer appoints director
Pauline Vamos has been appointed as an independent non-executive director at Mercer Superannuation Australia. Vamos is currently on the boards of Decimal and the Banking and Finance Oath.

SuperFriend assigns director
Not-for-profit mental health foundation, SuperFriend, has appointed David Atkin to its board, taking over from Stephen Spiller. Atkin is currently chief executive at Cbus, continuing the partnership between the two organisations.

AMP Capital appoints new directors
Stasha Prnjatovic has joined AMP Capital in a newly-created role on the infrastructure equity team as an investment director, based in Sydney. Niamh McBreen has been appointed to AMP Capital's European infrastructure equity asset team as an investment director, based in London. 

Cbus announces new role
Robbie Campo has been appointed to the newly-created role of group executive - brand, advocacy, marketing and product at Cbus. Campo currently chairs the National Policy Committee, is a director of Women in Super, and is a non-executive director of Victoria Legal Aid.

BlackRock appoints executives
Katie Petering has been appointed as head of asset manager sales at iShares Australia, BlackRock's exchange-traded funds business. Kathryn Barnes has been announced as the head of digital technology for Australia and Asia Pacific. 

Club Plus Super appoints executive
Acting chief executive, Stefan Strano, has been formally appointed as chief executive at Club Plus Super.

Vanguard promotes chief investment officer
Greg Davis has been appointed as Vanguard's chief investment officer. Davis was previously global head of fixed income.

Vanguard chief executive steps down
Bill McNabb will step down as chief executive of Vanguard global at the end of 2017, to be succeeded by Tim Buckley. McNabb will stay on as chair.
