Mercer appoints new CEO
After Russell Clarke resigned, Mercer appointed interim successor Phil Graham, deputy chief investment officer. Additionally, six new partners have been added to the Australian business: Chris Stevens is leader of commercial operations, with Jo-Anne Bloch and Nick White both returning to the firm as partners, along with and Glenna O'Callaghan, Peter Baker, and Judith Williams. 

VFMC has new CIO, COO
Victorian Funds Management Corporation (VFMC) has appointed a chief investment officer, Russell Clarke, to replace Justin Pascoe. Sally Collins is the firm's new chief operating officer, moving across from MLC, succeeding Brett Davidson.

Hunter Hall Global Value (HHV) chair removed
After an extraordinary general meeting and months of proposed board shuffling and questions over director independency at the firm, chair of Hunter Hall Global Value Paul Jensen was removed. 

LGS CEO leaves
Local Government Super's chief executive, Peter Lambert, has resigned after being with the firm for a decade. Donna Heffernan will become acting chief executive while a replacement is found. 

Nikko restructure for fixed income team
Nikko Asset Management is merging the Australian fixed income team with the London team, with the loss of three - two analysts and one portfolio manager. The current head of Australian fixed income, James Alexander, will move to Singapore to lead the global multi-asset team. Head of credit, John Sorrell, and senior credit analyst, Leo Leslie, will both join the global fixed income credit division. Darren Langer, head of customised portfolio management, and Chris Rands, fixed income portfolio manager, will join the rates division.
